Because of the theme music, I’ve started thinking of Boba Fett as Clint Eastwood in an Italian Western. It helps. I think they’re setting up a final High Noon gunfight between Boba Fett and that bad guy from out of the desert.
Good thought, although perhaps more Magnificent Seven with all the hired guns on Fett’s crew and a remote town now at the mercy of bandits.

That’s it!
ETA: Both the Sergio Leone Westerns and Star Wars were borrowers from Akira Kurosawa. The Magnificent 7/Seven Samurai is a perfect fit.
Although the new gunslinger has hints of Shane, so it’s basically every classic western. This will be confirmed when Mando and Grogu go to Bolivia.
If it were a “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly” Mexican standoff, I’d probably watch.
I had thought of that, but I couldn’t figure out who the 3rd would be.

This guy remind you of Lee van Cleef?

The de-aged Luke still has a smidge of uncanny valley about it, but it’s really damn good.
It’s remarkable how much better it really is. Smiling (or the lack there of) still has work to do but it is amazing how far they’ve come. The de-aged characters in Rogue 1 were unsettling while also being an amazing technological feat. The fact that they carried that big-screen quality to a weekly TV show in The Mandalorian was remarkable. And, now they’ve leapt a couple of generations forward. The notion that actors will just be avatar movement models in the future keeps getting increasingly likely. No wonder SAG-AFTRA is so dismayed.

I bet they found a way to make that not the case. They better have.

The decidedly western theme, turned up 1000% now that the sheriff of Fredomtown no longer has his armor, is amusing. A nod to Lucas maybe since he was a big western geek?

Most of the stories and characters being portrayed currently are based on novels/graphic novels that were written a while back.
But I think Star Wars in general has always had a pretty major wink/nod to the Westerns and Samurai movies.

That’s it!

I’d say a bit more than a wink. George Lucas turned Kurosawa’s The Hidden Fortress into Star Wars. It has Han Solo played by Toshiro Mifune, there’s a princess in need, R2-D2 and C3-PO are there, the Death Star.
He stole the attack on the Death Star from The Dambusters. Like nearly word for word.
Although the actual trench run looks to have been lifted from 633 Squadron.
The Dambusters is a true story while 633 Squadron - featuring my favorite WW2 aircraft (yes, even ahead of the Spitfire) the Mosquito - is fiction. Both movies having iconic theme music, of course.
Just don’t mention the name of the dog in the Dambusters.
Peacemaker just cranked it up to 11.
…and now I have to watch Hot Tub Time Machine.
Loved Dam Busters
It turned me into a Lancaster fan. Limey’s Mosquito was one of my dad’s favorite aircraft, so I too adopted it when I was a boy.
The “Wooden Wonder” was amazing. She was basically balsa wood and tissue paper powered by twin Merlin engines, so she could carry a decent fuel and bomb load but, after the bombs were dropped, could out-fly an ME109. The wood frame design also meant she could take a shit-ton of damage before she’d finally keen, while her sheer speed made her hard to hit. Her 4 machine guns and 4 cannons made her a very deadly gun platform.
Also, she was beautiful in her simplicity, with a hint of bulldog in her physique.
Antifa air power!!

Never seen it. Will watch soon. Thanks.
