CAN. NOT. RECOMMEND. ENOUGH.
Even if you are not, it is.
FYI, if you use Apple stuff, it’s best to subscribe through Apple. It costs the same, but it makes it super-easy to cancel your subscription. Just go to Settings on your phone, click on your profile, and there’s a subscription section that lists them all. You can cancel it right there on you phone with a couple of taps - no drama.
This week on The Mandalorian, Bill Burr guest stars as Bill Burr.
And nails it.
I am continually blown away at Bill Burr’s acting abilities.
He was SO good in this week’s episode.
Just about to finish book 5. I think it’s my favorite so far. Read any of the novellas? If so, should I save them for when I’m done with the main series?
I haven’t read any of the novellas.
Season 5 of The Expanse drops next Wednesday, and in case anyone missed the announcement from a week or two ago, it’s been renewed for a sixth and final season. Cas Anvar (Alex) won’t be back because of some pretty skeevy behavior towards women that was brought to light this year.
How do you finish the series without Alex?
Of the main four characters he’s probably the least important. If they follow book 5 closely in season 5 then he won’t have much to do, and same goes for season 6 if they follow book 6 closely.
Fucking Canadians.
The Mandolorian alone has made Disney plus worth it. I also really enjoy the once a week drops instead of them dropping the whole season at once.
Completely agree. I am realizing how much the binge drop is just cover for mediocrity. Sure, I’ll watch a bunch of episodes of a crap show over a weekend when they auto-play. If I have to choose to tune in to a crap show week after week, I probably won’t.
Anyone watching His Dark Materials on HBO? After the Golden Compass movie bombed and the studio pulled the plug on the sequels, I read a synopsis of the rest of the story and thought it was pretty interesting. When HBO launched the series last year I half-assed watched first season, but I’ve gotten into S2.
Mandalorian: oh hell yeah.
Great ending.
What an absolutely fun series.
Rumors abound that Disney is going to reboot Firefly for the + service. Hopefully they have Whedon do it, and not Abrams.
In the meantime, it seems I need to sign up to watch The Mandalorian.
Yes.
I really enjoyed it being a weekly watch. It was like old times.
Episode 1 watched.
I’m in.
