Absolutely no. The Pirates were WS Champs in 1960. Does that matter now?

At the start of the ‘79 season there was a Sports Illustrated article about the Pirates, and the one part of it I’ll always remember was describing the relish Manny Sanguillen et al had for hitting. It went more or less like this:
Some teams go to bat and say “Oh good, here comes a fastball.” Other teams go to bat and say “Oh good, here comes a curveball.” The Pirates go to bat and say “Oh good, here comes a baseball!”
