In other ketchup launching news today, Team Trump’s Hail Mary petition to the Georgia Supreme Court - to have Willis removed and the results of her special grand jury thrown out - was roundly rejected. The panel of 9 justices - 8 of whom were nominated by Republican governors - ruled unanimously, saying essentially that the relief requested was extraordinary but that’s moot because there was no justification for the requests.
Trump lawyers channeling the Underpants Gnomes has become a constant going back to the post-election suits in 2020.
The entire thread deserves attention, but this tweet encapsulates why I urge everyone else not to engage with the usual suspects on topics directly or tangentially related to politics:
It appears that Trump may have stolen antiquities from Israel. Items were loaned to the White House for an event in December of 2019. These items should have never left the White House except to be returned to the Israeli government. They have apparently been found in Mar a Lago.
An important message from resident Biden: “It is what it is! It is what it is because he who is who he is. That’s why it is what it is.” And don’t forget that he’s also leading an effective strategy to mobilize truananazpressur.
If you think Biden is running the country, you are very sadly mistaken. He is nothing more than a puppet used by Barry and the Clintons.
Thanks for posting that. Seeing the photo of the Trump rally immediately called to mind another famous photo, certain cult members in the immediate presence of their dear leader and their unadorned adulation:
ETA for context: Trump doesn’t support nazi socialism like Hitler. However, an argument can be made about the Democrat Party supporting nazi socialism.
I have a feeling that, when the “Jan 6” indictments come down, there will be a number of other names on the top of the page alongside Trump’s.
Why is the law finally getting some purchase on Trump when, for years, he’s slipped through its fingers? One reason is that he stuck his head sooooo far out of the trench that the law could no longer ignore him. But the main reason is that he crawled out of his small cess pit of shady real estate dealings into the festering swamp of Washington politics.
Despite its substantial real estate holdings, the Trump Organization itself is a really small operation. Like a couple of dozen people. Yes the properties employ thousands of people, but these are all LLCs in which the TO is an investor, so it’s not like Trump is running these day to day. There’s also a number of properties where they simply lease the Trump name, although this part of the business has slowed down in recent years for some reason.
So, over time at the TO, Trump has surrounded himself with a few long-term loyalists and supplemented that with family members. He was therefore insulated from any of the previous lame attempts at holding him to account. Not so in Washington, where it is clear that there have been more flips than at a circus convention.
“If you want a friend in Washington, get a dog” so goes the old saying. Trump doesn’t have any friends anyway (well, not since Epstein died), but he sure had a lot of people willing to smooch his fat white ass to further their own circumstances. What Trump failed to recognize was that none of these people meant what they were telling him and, now that he’s a busted flush, they’re turning on him so fast you can hear their eyeballs snap in their sockets.
This is a new experience for Trump. And it will end him.
And it would be wrong.
And honestly, saying “Democrat party” doesn’t piss off Democrats, it just makes the person using it sound really really really dumb, the sort of person that would fail a 6th grade English test.
Also, we have already been through me saying “Democrat Party.” It clearly got under your skin. If we are having yet another English exam, you have failed due to not using commas and periods in the proper places. Sixth grade English students would have known this.
