The Pubes passed the Gas Stove Protection and Freedom Act yesterday, preempting a non-ban on gas stoves. They were hard at work on the “Freedom to Give Your Wife the Ol’ Dutch Oven” act, but explaining it to MTG got it hung up in committee.

I’m no jurist or legislator, but what purpose is it to “ban the ban”. If there were ever legislation that banned the thing, wouldn’t that also supersede the ban on the ban? Wouldn’t it automatically ban the ban on the ban? Also, isn’t “Ban the Ban” an old Suzi Quatro song?

It’s so obviously a pathetic attempt at a distraction away from Trump’s indictment on 71 (so far) criminal counts. This is all around the same debunked Burisma nothingburger that Giuliani was peddling and for which Trump was impeached the first time.
Yes, what they are doing to Trump is a distraction. Biden and his deadbeat son took $10mm from the Ukraine. It’s all coming out and they have to create a distraction.
If there’s one thing the QOP/right wing is good at (and they’re not good at much), it’s projection.
