Seeing an adviser knife him is odd, and indicates to me that the calls to drop out are coming from Trumpās camp rather than some grass roots effort. And itās not cause Trump cares about any of the CNN story content, heās just worried that Robinson might hurt him in NC. In fact, the CNN story was likely initiated by Trump.

Trump has one path to 270, and NC is a part of that path that a few weeks ago was assumed to be cemented in place. The more states like this that become competitive, the more Trumpās campaign has to spread its relatively meager resources around, like butter over too much bread.
