The Inevitable What About The Inevitable You-Know-Who Thread Thread

They both support open borders, pro green new deal, pro defunding the police, pro Medicare for all, pro banning fossil fuels, pro supporting government mandated electric vehicles, pro biological men competing against biological women in sports, pro eliminating all private health insurance, pro voting without showing identification, etc. Walz signed a bill which provides illegal immigrants with free healthcare and college. Heck, Bernie Sanders publicly endorsed Walz. That should tell you all you need to know.

Poor Chuckie had to go crying to someone so he couldnā€™t see my posts which make him look sad and stupid.

Says the guy who thinks Biden does not have dementia.

Legalizing weed is hardly anything to brag about. Weed is just one of the many things George Floyd was high on. Maybe that is why Walz did nothing when half of Minnesota was on fire.

If you look at recent President/VP pairings, thereā€™s a stark contrast between the Republicans and Democrats. Bush/Cheney, Obama/Biden, Trump/Pence and Biden/Harris, the GOP tickets were forced pairings while the Democratsā€™ tickets were clearly working partnerships built on mutual respect.

Now we have Trump/Vance vs. Harris/Walz, and I think we may have the starkest contrast yet.

My family are from small towns in nebraska. Nobody is going to reach the hardcore maga, edge lord, incel fuckwits. BUT there are lots of otherwise conservative voters who will respond very favorably to Walz. He will eat trump and vanceā€™s lunch, and will help a lot of normal people get over their concern about voting for a black lady from california.

The fact that Walz is unapologetically progressive and dedicated to helping working class families and children wont hurt much either. The more trump and vance try to paint him as a liberal crazy the more bizarre they are going to look.

Plouff and brother in law tony west joining the team also gives me hope that she is going to both get elected and govern well.

I am so happy it is Walz. What a great uplifting choice. I didnā€™t know much about him 2 weeks ago, but since getting introduced to his background, he is just the type of guy to make folks excited to go to polls again.

Enthusiasm to vote is nearing 2008 levels. From AOC to the DINO Manchin, everyone is behind the ticket, finally.

Bush/Cheney a forced pairing? Nope.

Forced by Cheney

A lot of this boils down to the fact that we believe in government and seek office in order to govern and thus build campaigns and tickets that will best be able to govern. They have no interest whatsoever in governing, in fact, they believe (correctly) that government itself is largely a detriment to their greater interests, and thus the consideration of working partnerships is wholly irrelevant.

You forgot Bush/Quayle.

Bernie is especially happy with the socialist Democrat ticket.

Al Frankin had a great line that Republicans run on the premise that government doesnā€™t work and, when elected, they set about proving it.

I thought it was forced by Bush. Cheney was in charge of the VP search, and Bush said ā€œI donā€™t want any of them, I want you.ā€

Or maybe Iā€™m just missing a joke.

It was the other way around. Cheney told Bush that none of the candidates were worthy and that he (Bush) should pick him (Cheney).

Cheney was using strategery.

Bush wasnā€™t worthy either. I still think Al Gore beat him.

America will not survive this.

Ah, got it. Thanks.
