Meadows has claimed that his role in GA was just what a CoS does: set up phone calls etc. When asked today why he aded two outside lawyers to the Raffensberger call - you know, his job - he said he couldnât recall.
Meadows has also claimed that everything he did involved protected political speech; Willis reminded him that any political speech by the WH CoS under the color of his office is a violation of the Hatch Act.
Meadows had a weak argument for removal of his case, but courts have a history of giving broad deference to such requests. This is the resistible force meeting the movable object. Will be interesting to see which way it goes.

I had sincerely hoped the kneeling would have worked better.
Hard to say how much it would have helped, it was banned almost everywhere. It hurt some white peopleâs feelings and so was unacceptable.

I know, and of course youâre right, political theatre was never going to change anything. However, the backlash against a very quiet, respectful protest was ridiculous.

Spot on. I wish there was a way to make racism go away, but changing ignorant views is hard. It doesnât help when the current, politically charged Supreme Court revokes Affirmative Action in the college admissions process after the conclusion of a massive fraud case where rich people were paying money under the table to get their children into the universities of their choice.
