Texans 2022

I hope you’re feeling fully appreciated, HH

You could give these slapdicks the first overall pick for the next ten years and they’d still be a total disgrace.

I was thinking the same. This team isn’t tanking.

No, they’re not tanking, they’re just bad. They won’t be forever, despite chuck’s hopes and dreams.

It seems they need a Crane/Luhnow change.

Also, how is it Matthew Stafford is on a losing team again?

They need talent. When that will come remains to be seen.

He was given the keys to the candy store last year. That was his life’s reward for sucking it up in Detroit. He’s used his karma though.

There is zero chance that this team will ever be anything other than terrible as long as the McNairs own it. He has no idea how to hire key personnel, and no one who could possibly be a real contributor will ever contemplate a job with the organization. They finally got the GM they had coveted for years and he promptly made a very bad team even worse. This is the sort of talent they’ll be able to attract going forward, David Culley level talent. That’s just the reality.

I’m reminded of Glengarry Glen Ross:

“I’d wish you luck, but you wouldn’t know what to do with it if you got it.”

Always Be Coaching.

Texans can fuck up a tankjob

I haven’t followed any reporting on them, is it known how they would approach the draft, either QB or trade down?

Too early for that.

Of all the years the Texans have had the #1 pick in the draft, this would be by far, so far, the best one, just because of the options and the QBs available.

Yeah, but aren’t Young and Stroud close to equally coveted? Meaning, both the #1 and #2 picks would have similar value in a trade down.

However, if they want to draft a QB and really like one over the other, I guess a loss today is pretty important.

Fuck the tanking. You try to win as many games as you can. I’ll never understand people who bitch when they lose then bitch when they win.

I don’t bitch when this version of the Texans loses.

You’re not a fan. Got it. Then why care if they win?

You’d have to try really hard to lose to these Colts.

I want them to win, that’s the point of losing now.

It worked out for the Astros, right? The Rockets are trying the same.

  1. I don’t buy into the narrative that the Astros “tanked” as in purposely lost games. They were rebuilding, sure, but I don’t believe the players they put out there purposely struck out, made errors or otherwise tried to lose games.

  2. the first pick is not necessary to win.

This is bullshit, and you should know it.
