Looks like the Austin CBS station has officially given up on the Texans, I’m actually surprised it took this long.
Yeah, looking at the score so far, doesn’t seem like starting the backup was much of a spark.
Worst record/first pick is getting closer and closer.

This is the dilemma. The GM they have is a fucking idiot. In his two years he has made the team worse with the things he has done. He didn’t have a lot of margin to the downside, but he found it. And it’s pretty remarkable, really, that the Texans seem to be the only team in the league that hasn’t yet figured out that the Patriots ‘magic’ doesn’t travel. At all. Ever. Maybe one day some bright lights can get together and try to figure out why that might be, but in the mean time, not only have the Texans not learned that, with their GM hire they doubled down on it. They’d tried O’Brien and had a pretty close up look at how that played out. And then they went out and deliberately did it again, this time at the GM level.
Think about what that says about the quality of thinking, the level of creativity by the organization’s decision makers. The Texans are going to take over for the Lions. They will be thoroughly terrible and totally irrelevant for the next 30 years.
Don’t worry, they’ll find a way to blame this on Davis Mills.
