In Rome’s latest podcast he notes that the team is really impressed with Lambert and will likely add him to the 40-man, if not the 26-man. If they don’t do one of those, he can opt out of his minor league contract at the end of spring training.
I’m thankful for the WBC in that I don’t think I’ve ever paid less attention to spring training before.

The first 4 days of the tournament are always such a treat.
Maybe we can get the Dojers to bite on a trade for this Alvarez.
Top of the 4th: so far 4 Astro errors = 4 unearned runs. Scored a run without a hit (BB-BB-2bl steal-WP). It’s a clinic of fundamentals.
Babystros had bases loaded with nobody out, quick double play, re-loaded the bases, and left the inning with nada.
