Season in jeopardy already?

Imagine busting your ass over two months, winning 35 out of 60 games and coming in second to a team that went 9-6.

It is a farce.

Except farces are funny.

Farce is easier to type than power washer full of diarrhea.

You do have a way with visuals.

Baltimore and Detroit so far don’t suck.

Start spreading the news…

Between games getting postponed due to COVID and players getting hurt left and right due to the rushed spring training, this baseball season is a farce. I guess Manfred enjoys having egg on his face by letting it continue.

From Manfred:

How do players maintain and their teams monitor their conditioning with the COVID restraints?

Masks, distancing, cleaning equipment.

Many of injuries are likely from the accelerated ramp up.

A wise man in another thread said “It’s almost like baseball players prepare for a very specific schedule every year and they were completely disrupted or something…”

Is it wrong to feel smug and satisfied that the Yankees-Mets series is cancelled? I think it probably is wrong, but I’ll live with it. Not wishing harm on anyone, of course.

It is, but only because the Yankees are walking wounded right now and just got swept by the Rays.

Yeah if MLB can freeze the Yankees win % now they’ll guaranteed to be in the postseason.

Astros alternate training camp in CC has been suspended after a positive test.

“No one currently on the road with the major league team turned up as a part of the contact tracing protocols. Based on the protocols, the big league team is currently unaffected.” says Click

In case you hadn’t seen it… Astros game scheduled for Thursday has been moved to 3:00 Tuesday as part of a twin bill. So they’ll play tonight, a twi-night double header tomorrow, and a nooner on Wednesday. That’s four games in 40 hours.
