Dan Patrick AKA: Widespread Dumbass
Thanks, I’ll never be able to see his name or face without thinking of this
The clouds actually made it a beautiful moonrise.
That sure happened fast. Our AI Overlords have begun their takeover of humanity. Albania has created their first AI Minister. Not a Minister of AI running a Ministry of Artificial Intelligence. A actual AI-generated Minister of Procurement that will run the department.
This is so great, on so many levels. An immediate fix to the massive graft problem they have over there, pulling procurement process and decisions from the head of every agency and consolidating at the top. Great way to consolidate “follow the $$” power too.
But, what could possibly go wrong….
Seeing a lot of praise for this thing. So either it’s genuinely good, or Zuck has been buying a lot of influence.

The huge privacy issues of prior efforts at this still remain (like wearing them into a gym locker room…or just a gym in general), and currently the capabilities aren’t there, but this effort seems to be scarily close to a finished product with broad appeal.
Few years ago I was around a pool table, and this guy was walking around for his next shot…and after about a minute of trying to talk to him as he was talking

My chief old man yells at cloud complaint is the younger generation wandering everywhere with their ear buds on, especially in the office. I have no idea if it’s appropriate for me to speak to them, which is probably an effective strategic choice on their part.
This headline is the plot synopsis for a zombie movie.
The Girl With All the Gifts? (which is a great zombie movie, btw)
I’m more worried about the bacteria and viruses being thawed out of the melting tundra/permafrost
No kidding. I’ll bet there are some surprises in store for us there.
Good thing we won’t need vaccines.

I’m just waiting for Houston to break its summer fever, which simply isn’t on the forecast through mid-October at least.
I don’t think it’s ever going to rain in Austin again.
