Maybe, but I doubt the following rental starters stay put:
Shane Bieber, Trevor Rogers, Casey Mize and Brady Singer.

I’m not sure I understand the logic here. Hunter Brown can go toe to toe with anybody in Baseball. I’m not sure who you thought they were gonna get to go with him, but I’ll take my chances with what they’ve done with Varsho and not having to give up any of our premium prospects to get him.
26 year old AAA reliever, 2024 3rd rounder, 22 year old reliever in AA, and a 23 year old 2024 4 round comp pick. The Astros could have beaten that if they wanted to without much issue. Not saying they should
I am somewhat perversely more amenable to trades off the big league club like Arrighetti than I am even mediocre prospect depth, the reason being that our mediocre prospects have a better shot of contributing to the next competitive Astros team than Arrighetti.

Obviously, the Astros liked him or they wouldn’t have been after him, but I’m guessing if you put names from our system in place of the Draft slots you posted you may not have thought the same about such a deal.
I hope the Astros get a rental starter in the next few minutes, but if not, I’d rather have Varsho and Bryan Abreu than Trevor Larnach and Arrighetti. Also, they didn’t part with Xavier Neyens, Kevin Alvarez, Albert Fermin, Ethan Pecko or Bryce Mayer for short-term additions.
Ok Doyce, may Alcantara would be the #2 that they could get to go with Brown. That would be nice.
Using those draft slots(roughly because the 4th was a comp pick not a true 4th) would be Forcucci, Parker Smith, random AAA and AA reliever. I wouldn’t lose any sleep over that package to get a guy with a 3.06 ERA

Sellers had shitty bullpens this year. The Giants, Royals, Orioles, Nationals, Reds and Rockies had very few, if any, relievers I would’ve wanted. The Mets had Luke Weaver, but he makes $11 million in 2027 and would have been pricey in prospect capital. Jeff Hoffman hasn’t been good with Toronto.
The Astros made their most impactful bullpen move by keeping Abreu and getting a left-handed hitting outfielder by moving Arrighetti.
I’m surprised the Reds held Brady Singer, and Bieber didn’t move from Toronto. Trevor Rogers staying in Baltimore after the Rutschman trade is also surprising.
