This is why I’m giving Forrest Whitley the benefit of the doubt.
This whole Yordan’s hand saga is giving me serious Bagwell’s shoulder vibes…
Wesneski to IL with elbow soreness, VanWey recalled.
Espada says Yordan may start hitting off a tee tomorrow.
Altuve came in feeling better and may be back in the lineup in a day or two. Or he may need to be put down. Who can say?
He’s not a race horse, he wont have to be put down. They can just chop it off and stick a peg on the stump.
Or he could run left legged
Espada should have found a way to get him another day or two off to this point in the season anyhow. He’s 35, not 25.
Colton Gordon will get tomorrows start:
Looking forward to this,
A 6’-4" lefty that throws his FB averaging 91.1mph. That’s not something you often see.
…and throws a four-seamer, a sinker, a slider, a changeup, a curveball and a cutter.
Regardless of the outcome, it will be interesting to watch.
This team went from almost no lefty pitchers to an abundance. The opposite happened with the hitters.
Tayler Scott DFAed to make room for today’s starter.
From dominant last year to this. Relief pitching is a rough business.
I hope he agrees to go to AAA.
Just what I was thinking. He was really good last year.
He shouldn’t have changed his citizenship. Some players don’t change socks or hats but Scott goes and changes his flag and passport too! No wonder he has struggled some.
To me, Scott was always a nervous choice out of the Bully. To me….
I hope he improves and rejoins somewhere else, if not here soon.
He was very good last year.
Gordon got out of the first inning unscathed.
