I don’t necessarily disagree. I’m not a Spurs fan, but someone has to win the Finals, and I was hoping given the circumstances it would be them. They still might, but they’ve got a mighty tough row to hoe.
Spurs up by five at the half, after blowing a huge lead. Were I a Spurs fan I’d break about a TV a week.
I really want someone to kick Da’Aaron Fox in the balls.

The entire Spurs roster is playing like this game is way too fast for them tonight.

Double digit leads in each game and they won one. I’d love to see the comparison of time with the lead. Amazing rake stepping by the Spurs and incredible gutsy play from the Knicks.

I’ll always take solace in the Rockets beating those asshat knicks in 7 games in ‘94.

Too bad Prez Bonespurs didn’t attend more games.
Then again, he was probably sleeping.
The Spurs still have a lot to learn about how to hold on to a lead and close out games. But as disappointed as the Finals were, the Spurs were ahead of schedule. I expect them to be better next year.
The Spurs led 72% of game time for the series. And lost in 5.

People thought this of the 1995 Magic

Well, the 1995-96 Magic made the Eastern Conference finals before losing to the inevitable Bulls. Then Shaq was gone in 1996-97.
They also raved about the 2015 Yankees, about how far ahead of schedule they were and would simply dominate the league the next 10 years, probably winning 5-6 World Series between 2016 and 2026.
