For those of you not following, and that appears to be most of you, the Rockets have clinched their division, and are second in the Western Conference. They had an impressive win against first place OKC last night. They’re enjoying a really nice season.

Yeah, I get that it’s a missed opportunity (although there’s still time for Sheppard to improve), but it’s not changing the present big picture. Eventually, the Rockets need the go-to player down the stretch to be a real contender. In the future, it might be Amen, or Jalen or possibly Alperen, or they might need to make a deal or an acquisition. Still, they’re a fun team to watch, with a lot of potential.
