That’s a terrible call.
I hate the warriors so very much.
Some shitty possessions by the Rockets down the stretch doomed them.
Rox missed 9 FT in G1
Rox missed 10 FT in G3
Rox missed 12 FT in G4
They lost those 3 games by a combined 25 points
Maddening.
My half baked theory is that bad FT shooting is tied to the death of the midrange jumper.
Either way they’ve Ambered the bed this series.
Iirc they were the worst FT shooting team in the NBA, so this kicking them in the ass/balls is not a surprise
I don’t see any Clutch City in this current group. I think they’re toast. Hope I’m wrong, they have a great young nucleus. Probably a couple of years away from becoming a real threat.
They just seem like they don’t quite know how to bring it home in the 4th.
Kind of like the 2015 Astros. You can tell the talent is there, they just need to gel. And learn to shoot free throws.
Indeed, they have a great young nucleus, they went from lottery to .500 to the 2nd seed in 3 years
Very Astro-like
They seem to have a lot of decent-to-good pieces but no one who could be “the guy” for a championship team.
It will be interesting to see if they stay the course or swing big for someone like Devin Booker or Giannis.

Giannis would make a lot of sense. Milwaukee has no first round picks for the foreseeable future.
They have a ton of draft capital, not sure I’d burn it all on a 1-2 year old guy like Durant or Giannis.
That’s just it. A small army of very good players but no true superstars. You can build a championship baseball team that way… the Astros certainly did… but you absolutely cannot build a championship basketball team that way.
The Rockets’ only chance is if the Warriors continue falling apart physically as the play-travel-play-travel-play schedule kicks in. The Warriors were looking a bit rickety at the end on Monday.
I think the Rockets heard the talk that they can’t score
Well, that was a statement. I don’t know if they have enough of whatever that was left in them, but they aren’t ready to pack it in just yet. I’m not crazy about giving up 25 offensive rebounds, but 32 for 38 from the line…WooHoo! Keep playing hard.
Given the exhausting play-travel-play schedule, they should simply spend any and all free time practicing free throws.
The bigger question about tomorrow night is: how much does Golden State have left in the tank?

I’m sure the Warriors will empty the tank tomorrow night. They certainly don’t want to have to come back to Houston for a Game 7. The Rockets gotta give it all they got, obviously.

The backups should be given a code red for their abysmal play that forced the starters back into the game.
Expect even less love from the refs than you would normally expect in Game 6. Kerr has been complaining to anyone who will listen that the Rockets were going after Curry’s injured thumb, and Brooks (for reasons I don’t comprehend) pretty much said “yeah, that’s what I was doing” in the postgame interviews.
