Red Sox at Astros 8/3/22

I hope he’s an Astro for a long time.

Has Altuve ever had a 5-hit game? I can’t remember him ever getting there.

ETA: They just said in the booth that he’s never had one.

Love Altuve spraying the ball around.

Alvarez can run better than that. He conceded the out.

Springer got one in Oakland and let Jose know about it.

I’d love to see what Verlander would do with this umpire. I wouldn’t say his calls have been wrong, but they’ve been generous.

That was a six hit game, right?

Good memory

That was a serious shift.

Tucker makes playing right field look a lot easier than it is.

This is the nice, relaxing game I was ready for.

I didn’t notice it at the time but Alvarez got an extra strike in the at bat. Called strike 1, foul ball, called strike 3, but inexplicably not called out. Then the groundout. See for yourself. https://twitter.com/actionnetmlb/status/1554919802405326851?s=21&t=iQLgNt6qZpnX7tkORj8byw

I’m glad Jose Urquidy found his form after a rough start to the season.

Dubon needs to get on base so that Jose gets a shot at #5.

Yordan’s body language is great.

He stands up knowing he’s about to get rung but stays put when the ump just calls it a strike

You get an Astros debut, and you get an Astros debut, and YOU get an Astros debut!

(I know Vazquez pinch but last night. Just enjoy the comedy)

I wonder why Cora wasn’t all over that.

The main thought I had in the AB was I was glad Hill didn’t dive after the foul ball.

He would’ve broken his neck.
