I guess in theory, you could have a ball with an xBA of 1.000 that is caught for an out, if it’s hit to the deepest spot of any park in the league.
BTW, I started Rodriguez on my fantasy team. He has been terrible all year. Win or lose, I’m cutting him after this game.
We’re through four…4-0 Astros
Vazquez with a 2-out rule book double down the RF line…Red Sox first hit of the day.
I was just thinking he hadn’t given up a hit and then…
Halfway…still 4-0 Astros
That’s my understanding.
I like most of Kirkjian’s writing, but you’re right that he does not have a voice for radio or tv.
Who’s the PBP guy?
I fully expect him to give up some hits. It comes with throwing the ball in the strike zone, which I’m a big fan of.
Glad I’m listening to TK and Blummer.
Some guy, I don’t know. I’m not listening to them anymore.
Espn has at least three people too many in the booth and they are all morons
Yep. No way I wanted to watch and listen to ESPN gush over the massholes.
Same, I was just curious and didn’t want to flip over.
Doesn’t OPS+ take the year, and ballpark, and everything else and normalize it?
Again…curious.
Again, that’s my understanding.
Sonic popcorn chicken po-boy? I don’t know whether to be appalled or to go get one.
Yes…+ stats normalize to league average. So a guy could theoretically have an OPS of .500 and have an OPS+ of 150
I have burgers on the grill, a beer in my hand, and the Astros on the radio.
God bless America.
Bases drunk, two out for Tucker…
