Clarksburg. Moved here in 1998 when there was 780 people. Now there’s 30,000. Moved to VT 7 years ago but still have the place here for one of my kids and since I still work in DC 2-3 weeks per month.
Didn’t realize you were there far out of the Beltway. I mostly lived in Northwest DC (Tenleytown and Kalorama), but lived in Bethesda for about a year and a half. Really enjoyed it, although with how built up everything is now I’m not sure that’s where I’d want to be. Back then, the Chevy Chase area still had a bit of small town charm once you got away from the Metro stop.
