This is just a bad baseball team right now. Imagine losing a game 8-1 when your starting pitcher started the game by throwing six scoreless innings.

This team just isn’t very good.
Of course that can change. But there isn’t a single aspect of pitching, hitting or defense that they doing well enough consistently enough.
This is a 70-92 team right now. Something has to change. And it has to start with Bregman. Followed closely by Abreu. Those guys have to start earning their salaries.

Absolutely 110% correct. Especially where Bregman is concerned. Without Altuve and Brantley, he’s supposed to be bringing that veteran leadership and production. Well, he isn’t. We are only 16 games in, and a lot can happen over the next 146, but his prospects for a long term extension with this franchise in my opinion, are on the line now. He needs to step up.
