This is just silly talk. The Astros are a better team with Alex Bregman at 3B.
I forget the rule. If Diaz has to move to catcher, does the pitcher have to bat?
Yes.
There’s hyperbole and then there’s nonsense. Bregman is struggling bad right now but that won’t last forever
Come on Cristian: Throw strikes.
Taveras with a 1-out double
Semien doubles, it’s 5-2
Seager lines out to CF. Big out
Sure thing. Abreu’s gonna come around any day now too.
Nice job, Javier
A couple of doubles, but he limits the damage. Halfway…5-2 Astros
I’ll take it, but I’d have someone prepared to get ready for the sixth in case. The Rangers had some good swings that inning.

I certainly hope that the people that matter are paying attention - this team does not miss Bregman, at all. It’s almost as if they’re improved by his absence.

Certainly I don’t expect Carantini or Jake Meyers to end the season with more RBI than Bregman and Abreu combined. But it highlights how their non-existence has absolutely hamstrung this offense so far. They can’t win with zero production from the corner infield spots.
Come on Tuck, get us started.
My point is that if the team foolishly extends Bregman for X years it is condemning itself to X years of decreasing production from a prime offensive position.
Diaz with a 1-out knock

Sure thing. Abreu’s gonna come around any day now too.
Alex Bregman isn’t 37 years old with declining bat speed.
Oh I’m with you. I have no desire to extend Bregman.
Chas down on strikes
Peña doubles to LF, Diaz out at the plate trying to score.
End of five…5-2 Astros
Diaz just jogged around 2B and watched the play the whole time. He puts his head down and runs, he scores easily.
