Punishments are official

You’re the lawyer, but I’m pretty sure managers are employees at will. The owner can fire them for any reason, up to and including he just wants to change managers.

They didn’t fire him. They mutually decided to part ways. I am sure he took a nice golden parachute that also prevents him from suing them.

They are under guaranteed contracts. And apparently part of the union.

My point, and it may not have been as fine as I intimated, is if he was fired for cause, and the cause didn’t end up being the case, then perhaps he has some type of claim, whether in contract or in tort.

Tanaka now says NYY was cheated out of being in WS in 2017. Fuck him. How many runs did they score in Houston?

I cannot take an entire season of this.

Me neither.

It’s just starting:

Oh good grief. I can actually understand being frustrated as pitcher at the situation, but to take that into suing is quite a leap.

Nine pitchers were demoted to the minors following bad outings against Houston. The opening salvo; with opposing teams’ fanbases and ticketholders to follow

Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa’s fraudulent actions caused me to lose faith in the world, thereby putting my soul at risk of eternal damnation. I am suing them for eleventy trillion dollars.

There are plenty of guys who were trapped at AAA behind aging steroid users. Where are the lawsuits for the Stubby Clapps of the world. ( Always looking for a good reason to type Stubby Clapp)

My guess is Manfred never envisioned this level of stupidity.

What a shitshow.

If not, then he is a fool.

I’d say there is sufficient evidence of that, if not overwhelming.

An annoying bug on the WSJ Web site is keeping me from being able to access the entire article. Does it explicitly state that Codebreaker was used to relay signs during the game? And if so, how?

Was this presumably what the Red Sox are being taken up with now–providing up-to-the-minute data so that baserunners on second would have better intel should they get a good look?

Said nothing about actually using it during games

So Bolsinger, with a negative career WAR and career record of 8-19 and ERA of 6.83 in 2016 and 6.31 2017, who signed a contract in December of 2017 to play in Japan for the 2018 and 2019 seasons, blames the Astros for his not playing in the Majors after 2017. Good luck with that lawsuit.

For what it’s worth…

So… what was the “one particular scoop”?

Hasn’t shared it yet. We are led to believe that whatever it is isn’t good.
