The words “Charming” and “NYC Deli” have never been uttered in the same conversation in the history of forever.
I know it is not innovative to complain about prices in NYC, but that was absurd. Fries cost what the sandwich should cost. Sandwich cost what a nice entree costs back home. It’s been a while since I had to really worry about pricing on basic items, but by the end of my 48 hour trip I was back to comparison shopping. Amazing thing was that for pharmacy, food truck, running shoes, prices seemed right in line with what I’m used to. And the hotel was about the same as home as well.
I wonder if $25 pastrami sandwiches is the foundation of a trickle - up economic scheme that allows the Yankees to outspend.
I wish he would come back here and lighten our mood.
He’s one of my three favorite Twitter follows.
Yeah, I miss JackAstro around here too.
So when do we find out about the Red Sox penalties?
when hell freezes over?
Prepare to be underwhelmed.
Their 2018 GM is already gone as is their manager. The allegations from The Athletic article were that they used the video room to see what signs were being used (presumably to let runners on second steal them the old fashioned way) but there wasn’t real time relaying of signs to batters that we know of.
So the stage is set for Manfred to say the real bad guys here are still the Astros.
Will Clark with an honest response:
I absolutely do not believe that.
Either way, it’ll be their second offense. The draft pick penalty should reflect.
Neither should anybody else.
But what can be proven, or more accurately placed in MLBs lap by a disgruntled rat, is what is in question.
So it was not cheating, but a form of industrial quality control
I fully expect that Manfred will release a report saying that they did a very thorough investigation (meaning they interviewed two people and looked at maybe three or four emails), and he’s concluded that Boston’s infractions are just further evidence that the Astros’ horrible, terrible, no good, very bad culture has infected the rest of the league. Accordingly, he will take an additional two draft picks away from Houston and give one to the Red Sox (to make up for having to fire Alex Cora) and one to the Yankees (as recompense for having to play against cheaters).
What’s his handle on Twitter?
He and Thickie Don are both fantastic.
Tuve’s Tongue is also good. He’s not afraid to jump over the line of good taste, especially when it comes to trolling crybaby fans of other teams.
Dkdeberry is also pretty
Somebody tweet this to Rosenthal, and wow(!) does he nail Drehlich.
“…the only reason why the Astros and Red Sox were the only two teams to be named in all of this is because Evan Drellich only ever worked in Houston and Boston and had an ax to grind against both organizations.”
