After setting a Premier League record of not recording a shot on target in 3 consecutive games, Palace peppered Leicester’s goal all afternoon.

Talk about a big weekend for Crystal Palace FC!
The senior team won its first game of 2023, being the last of the 92 professional clubs in the English leagues to do so. The win all-but eliminates the chance of relegation and it was done in style, the 2-1 scoreline very much belying the nature of the game.
The Under21s beat Liverpool in the quarterfinals of the Premier League International Cup and will now face Valencia at home. In the league, they are sitting 4th, behind Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool, with 2 games in hand over the latter two. They are playing right now and leading 2-1 at Chelsea with about 15 minutes left.
The Under18s went to Southampton and spanked them 7-1. They sit 2nd in the southern division.
The Under12s just won their age group in the Mina Cup, an international tournament for academy team, beating Poland’s Gornik Zabrze (coming to an episode of The Mandalorian soon).
The women’s senior team beat Sunderland 2-1 on the road, and sits 5th in the Women’s 2nd division.
The academy success is incredibly exciting. Palace has a long history of producing stars through its academy, and the night-to-day improvement of the academy facilities allows the club to pull in talent from the local catchment area, dubbed the “Concrete Catalonia” for how south London seems to be producing more than its fair share of top class young players.
Young talent like Jesurun Ran-Sakyi, currently on loan to Charlton Athletic, terrorizing League One defenses, and looking a lot like Wilf Zaha - another local lad who came through the academy,
Freddie Couples makes the cut. He always plays Augusta well, but making the Masters cut at age 63 is a remarkable accomplishment.

Couples is the oldest player to ever make the cut at Augusta. And Phil Mickelson is 10th at age 52. Tiger squeaks into the weekend in last place, but he’s all the headlines.
Several guys, including Tiger, need to send Thomas a thank-you gift for finishing bogey-bogey and moving the cut line. If he pars out, the +3 guys miss the cut. Technically, the bogey on 17 moved the line, and the bogey at 18 caused Thomas to miss that line.
