I’m rooting for the Slaughtered Lamb Pub Club to take down those assholes from Man U.

I’m not saying that the knockout format of the FA Cup generates more passion, but Man Utd and Everton - who play each other year-in, year-out in the league - just had their first bout of handbags before we got to 30 minutes on the clock.

Translate please?

I don’t know where it came from, but that has become a colloquial term for soccer player dust ups, because they’re about as damaging as a bunch of old ladies hitting each other with handbags.

A number of Premier League teams (Level 1) lost to lower league opposition in the FA Cup 3rd round, with Burnley (Level 2) winning at Bournemouth, Blackpool (L2) winning at Nottingham Forest, Sheffield Wednesday (L3) beating Newcastle and, the big one, Stevenage (L4) coming from behind and scoring 2 goals in the last 5 minutes to win at Aston Villa.

Other notable results were Leeds being held to a draw by Cardiff (L2), Wolves getting a draw at Liverpool and Man City curb-stomping Chelsea 4-0.

I was mistaken that these were one-and-done ties, as it appears that replays are en vogue in this round (they are done away with in later rounds I believe). So 5 of the match-ups are set for replays on Jan 17, where there will be extra time and penalties to decide the winner.

The 4th round draw has been made, which sees Stevenage rewarded with a road trip to (L2) Stoke, Brighton to host the winner of Liverpool-Wolves and Tottenham traveling to Preston North End (L2).

One 3rd round match is yet to get underway, so today will see Arsenal heading down the M3 to Oxford FC (L3) for a 2pm (CST) kick-off. The winner earns the prize of facing Man City at the Emptihad.

Arsenal rolled Oxford 3-0 to set up a 1st vs. 2nd match-up in the 4th round. Nice!

HA! Felix just got himself sent off for doing essentially what you see above.

Has anyone followed the Reyna-Berhalter stuff with the USMNT?

Is a new coach in the future? Who would the options be?

It was glorious and I love it. Fulham is now 6th in the Premier League and 6! Points above Chelsea

Palace play Chelsea today at 8am. We need a Nate the Great pre-match talk.

Palace are playing with fire.

Both teams are ridiculously open. Entertaining for the neutral fan, I’m sure.

If you’re struggling with form, Crystal Palace is the cure for what ails ya.

You got Evil Nate

This was the first of three games in 6 days. The next two are Varchester Utd and Newcastle. Then we play Brighton who are [chokes down bile] flying high right now.

Arsenal sweep Spurs. 8 points clear at the top of the table. Absolute dream season thus far.
