I don’t know which is worse. They are both equally bad. I drink decaffeinated coffee, trying to trick myself into thinking it’s the real thing. And I drink wheat beers, trying to trick myself into thinking it’s the real thing. I think hard about the other joys in life and wonder about having to potentially switch to fake equivalencies and it is pretty stark. Wish me luck…
I like a drink. But I’m pretty sure I’d rather give up alcohol than caffeine.

Robert Brazile gets a cool statue in his hometown. Mobile, Alabama has done a walk of heros for 6 Hall of Fame players from Mobile. Brazile, Ozzie Smith, Billy Williams, Willie McCovey, Hank Aaron and Satchel Paige. Ribbon cutting was earlier this week.

Chelski has fallen behind 3-1 to some Brazilian side, and are playing a man down. This would be a sweet result if it holds.

Basically, building up from the keeper like it’s a cult edict is stupid and stubborn. Adapting play to what the opponent presents is far better. Du-uh, I shouldn’t need to add.
Fun fact #1: Palace beat Citeh in the FA Cup final with a goal starting from our own goal kick, from which we played a couple of short passes to suck in the high press and then lobbed the ball long (thank you Chris Richards) to Mateta who had been left one-on-one with one of Citeh’s “ball-playing” CBs (i.e. a midfielder).
