…and they do.
Did Salah, Gakpo. or van Dijk, play at all today?
That was fun. Couple of very nice saves in extra time
No. They were left off the roster because this was supposed to be an easy win.
Nope. Jota and Nunez came on in the 2nd half.
And Nunes demonstrated his typical dead-eye finishing.
Liverpool obviously wasn’t too concerned with winning but more interested in seeing how specific bench players performed.
For Liverpool, this would be the 3rd most important competition for them this season, behind the Premier League and Champions League. You could argue that, having made the final, the Carabao Cup is now more important than this one.
Still, Liverpool’s reserves should have more than enough to see off a team that’s bottom of the Championship. Those reserves had a chance to force their way into the first team but, instead, many of them have signed their transfer papers.
Watching Steve Nichol speed run through the five stages of grief is quite a thing.
I use Steve Nicol to practice my Scottish accent.
Villa - Spurs coming up. Lots on the line for Postecoglou, but I’m watching Rashford. Utd ruin good players, so I am hoping that Rashford is reborn here as he’s an all round decent human and it’s a “fuck you!” to Utd.
Him getting pantsed by Craig Burley’s wife on live TV was the highlight of the morning.
Sacked at halftime

Kinsky redeeming himself, because Spurs are allowing lots of opportunities for him to do so.
Spurs doing Spursy things.
So this happened in his first game for the Mavs:
Shocking. Their hope was Davis and Kyrie and Thompson all staying healthy.
Wonder what the Vegas odds were on that trifecta?

Newcastle United v Brighton
Bournemouth v Wolves
Manchester City v Plymouth Argyle
Exeter or Nottingham Forest v IpswichTies to be played between 28 Feb – 3 March
Plymouth has earned themselves a big payday traveling to Citeh. Preston vs. Burnley guarantees a non-Premier League side in the quarter finals.
Palace kicking off vs. Doncaster now on ESPN. Matt turner gets the start in goal, Chris Richards will be on the right of a 3 centerback cadre. Fro in full force and effect.
Palace make a couple of changes, but still a strong side. Wharton and Hughes together in the middle could be very entertaining.
Doncaster is 3rd in League Two, so 56 places below Palace in the stack. Rob Street is a former Palace youth player who starts for Donny, who were a bogey team for Palace back when we used to play each other on the regular.
