New Manager Search

I was there during his press conference after the hammer was lowered/inserted.

Maybe I misheard, but the clip on the Astros website sounds to me like he says he could fill out the lineup card every day and that what he is looking for is a strong disciplinarian. Psycho if true.

He did refer to it as a joke.

Though honestly, many members of this site could fill out the line-up card effectively, though I for one will miss Hinchā€™s exquisite penmanship.

If you saw my handwriting, youā€™d probably remove me from that list (assuming I was on it to begin with).

Crane veering into ā€œyou see, Strawberry, itā€™s called playing the percentagesā€ territory.

Dusty Baker is our new manager according to reports.

They just announced it on MLB Network, so it has to be true.

Harrumph. I feel about this the same way that I feel when I have a mediocre beer. Itā€™s beer, which is good, but itā€™s mediocre. So, bleh.

Blah. Itā€™s not Banister, so that counts for something I guess. But few managers in history have squandered as much talent as Baker has.

Iā€™m going to try and be a glass half full guy HH and say, of the ones we interviewed, few if any have won as many games as Baker.

Glad we have Strom as the pitching coachā€¦

Worst void EVER

This.

Fuck this offseason.

I fucking hate Dusty Baker.

Literally the only silver lining, as HH put it, is that itā€™s not Jeff Fucking Bannister.

True. But there is a history of teams loaded with talent failing in the Postseason then winning the World Series immediately after shitcanning Baker. Perhaps the fifth time is the charm for him.

Fuck. This is the cherry on top of the turd that has been this off-season.

Good grief.

Ok if itā€™s Baker this is a reasonable point.
