Anybody that dumps Olivia Rodrigo for Sabrina Carpenter needs to have their head checked. For a multitude of reasons.
Rodrigo is pretty but Carpenter looks like sheād put your spine out of place.
Hey, man!
I have to stan the short queens.
My grandmother was a big fan of Rodgers. I didnāt mind so much. But she also had a thing for Eddie Arnold, whom I could never stand.
My dad was all about Johnny Cash. He had a copy of Live From Folsom Prison, and I thought Cash was the coolest guy in the world. The album jacket photo was mesmerizing.
You know what, Iām pretty sure my grandmother liked Eddie Arnold, too.
Johnny Cash had a show when we were very little, and when I was about 3 I thought he was the coolest guy in the world.
My dad saw Cash perform way back, late 50s or early 60s.
He also saw Jerry Lee Lewis (might have been the same show).
There was a loudmouth who would shout āGet a haircut!ā After every song.
Finally, Lewis stopped and said āYou hear that guy? When his mama was pregnant, his daddy wanted a boy. His mama wanted a girl. And theyāre both happy.ā
He then went right into the next song.
If youād seen āSaltburnā youād know a lot more about Barry Keoghan, and perhaps Sabrina Carpenter.
I was today years old when I first heard of Sabrina Carpenter. Didnāt figure it would be here, but just goes to show.
Life is hours
I saw Jon Batiste last night in Sugar Land after randomly grabbing a couple tickets off of StubHub at the last minute. I figured it would be entertaining, but wow what a show. Two hours of pure joy. Literal dancing in the aisles including at the end where he and the band marched off through the crowd (still playing by the way) all the way to the back giving hugs and high-fives and pictures for who knows how long. If you ever get a chance to see him live, do it without hesitation. One of the best concerts Iāve ever seen.
He puts on a hell of a show, impossible to have a bad time
I saw Os Mutantes last night in Milwaukee not needing any tickets because it was a free street fair. Iāve been singing their praises here for a long time, and, as far as I know, Iāve made no converts. Sergio is not going to be able to keep doing this forever. I will alert you Texanex if they ever play through there again. But they receive my strongest commendation wherever you may be.
Geddy and Alex of Rush are doing a mini tour next year.
Rush Fifty-Something Tour
Iām not really a Rush fan but Anika Nilles is an awesome drummer.
Rush without Peart is like the Police without Copeland, but sheās good and this may be fun
Yep. Though, not as drastic as trying to replace their respective bass playing singers.
