This Slate.com article from yesterday convinced me to listen to Brad Mehldau’s Beatles covers. Not the kind of music I usually listen to, but I’ve been enjoying it.

I never realized it until my wife pointed it (many years ago), but she’s also the scissors-wielding “friend” in Sixteen Candles.
I always thought Jami Gertz was real pretty too. I was curious what became of her. I looked it up, she married a billionaire and is a pricipal owner of the Atlanta Hawks. Not bad.

So speaking of Jimmy Cliff…I was at the record store today, flipping through the bargain box, and lo and behold, a Jimmy Cliff record. Give Thankx. Just cleaned it, and when it’s dry, I’ll give it a spin.

Music Town in the Klein area and Sound Revolution. Music Town has a lot more stuff, but it’s more expensive.

I miss Record Rack.
Sig’s Lagoon just south of downtown has some really cool stuff, but it’s a long way to go on a Saturday, unless I’m already around there. Like say at the Downtown Spec’s…
