It’s a product of the rules and teams not protecting against stolen bases as much in large part because of the rules. The Astros are far from the only team with this philosophy.
Plus, Seattle runs a lot.
Giving up a run an inning isn’t a winning strategy, especially when the Astros haven’t scored since Wednesday

The Astros have attempted 103, successful on 77 of them. Opponents have attempted 183 and taken 155 of them. So opponents are stealing double the bases the Astros are. It can’t be that way for every team.

Seattle is fourth in baseball with 152 steals.
They also average the fourth-most attempts per game.
I need to walk away from this TV. Framber’s mental health is not good for my mental health.

There was a time in his career when Correa was a threat to do so too.

Correa is one of the few guys in the Astros’ lineup that is hitting well.
It could be 2-0 because Meyers has a noodle arm in center field, and Julio Rodriguez can fly, but yeah.
But if you’re a pitcher you don’t fear his power anymore.
