House Republicans - fresh off passing their defunding of the IRS (that won’t happen) - are now moving on two bills aimed at abortion. One condemns violence against abortion activists and the other requires the doctor to save the life of any baby born alive from an abortion.
I’m not even sure if either of those things are real, but if this helps lower inflation I’m all for it.
Maybe they need a lottery to fund healthcare.

It’s so bad over there that there is now a majority in favor of rejoining the EU. None of the things that the Brexiteers promised have come to pass, while most/all of the things that Remainers warned about - “Project Fear” as they were branded by the Leave campaign - are happening.

So, because he punted and appointed a special counsel to investigate Trump’s mishandling of documents, Merrick Garland is expected to announce at his PC today that he is now appointing one to investigate Biden’s mishandling of documents.
Don’t get me wrong; Biden’s mishandling of documents is bad and needs to be investigated. But because he set the precedent, Garland is now going to have to use a sledgehammer to crack a nut that is already out of its shell.

Footage from the 3 January encounter released on Wednesday showed that Keenan Anderson, a 31-year-old high school teacher and father, was begging for help as multiple officers held him down, and at one point said, “They’re trying to George Floyd me.” One officer had his elbow on Anderson’s neck while he was lying down before another Tased him for roughly 30 seconds straight before pausing and Tasing him again for five more seconds.
The body cam footage is beyond disturbing. They held him down and tased him to death.
Oh to be a fly on the wall.
