Inevitable You-Know-Who Thread

Yeah, the governor and SoS races across the country are most important in stopping the bogus elector nonsense that seems to be the right’s current front. I would really like to see some sort of federal end to the gerrymandering nonsense, but I have no illusions about the current Supreme Court’s position about allowing states primacy about how they conduct their elections.

Arizona Senate race just called in favor of Kelly.

Arizona SoS race also called in favor of the Dem and this summarizes the SoS races across the country
involving pigfu…um…election deniers (a bit out of date about Nevada though)…

My home state (folks moved to Tucson from San Antonio 3 mos. before I was born) actually did something right.

Senator Cortez Mastro retains her seat in Nevada. The Democrats will keep control of the Senate.

If Warnock can keep that Georgia seat we can put Manchin and Sienema on the spit that they deserve.

The House margin is getting narrower and narrower with a big Democratic pickup in Wa. 03.

The House now looks to go from 219-216 R to 218-217 D. It will be the most closely divided House in my lifetime. One thing is certain: the first special election of '23 will be one of the most expensive ever.

This guy on Twitter has been calling shots for days. Says the Dems will land on 219. I don’t know what his exact methodology is.

It’s going to be interesting when the indictments start flying and the likes of Gaetz, Brooks and MTG have their time in the barrel. They don’t have to resign their seats, but if Brooks and MTG are convicted of sedition, then they can be thrown out.

You’d hate to see it

I just read this and found it pretty hilarious, not only that he felt compelled to say it, but also because it is likely a talking point devised in some Republican meeting:

“We’re not a cult. We’re not like, OK, there’s one person who leads our party,” Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

Katie Hobbs looks to have eked out the win for AZ Governor (not called yet by the networks). Lake not getting enough out of count dumps from expected/hoped Lake-friendly batches to catch up.

5 swing states, 5 clean sweeps for Dems for Gov & SoS.

What time is the Big Announcement tomorrow?

I also see that Lara Trump has threatened Ron DeSantis, saying it would be “nicer” for him and his family if he didn’t run in 2024. I guess Lara is the number one hammer for the “family” now.

Trump is demanding attendance by Congressional Republicans and will be “taking note” of those who don’t show.

Also tomorrow, congressional leadership elections.

I got an Official invite to attend the voter protest rally tomorrow in downtown Houston to protest the criminal enterprise that is Harris County Democrats who have once again engaged in nefarious voter suppression and stolen the election from Republicans.

I’m not sure where I’m supposed to focus.

Focus on Kari Lake, apparently she needs help focusing.

This is as good a two-minute summation of Trump 2024 as you will find.

Trump: A Modern Day Galileo

Trump’s lawyers said he’s a modern-day Galileo Galilei, and that ‘crackpot ideas sometimes turn out to be true’ (yahoo.com)

One day, we will control the path of hurricanes simply by using a sharpie on a map.
