The run time for Snow White is 83 minutes. The length of a kid’s Disney movie. I just found that an interesting way to look at how long they didn’t act.

Forgot to include the fact that Cipollone confirmed the members of congress who attending the White House meeting to discuss the “Eastman theory” were Biggs, Gaetz, Gohmert, Gosar, Harris, Hice, Jordan, Perry, and Greene.
Greene had not yet even been sworn in as a freshman congresstroll.
He could shoot the witness, live at the hearing, and wouldn’t get convicted.
And no, being a felon doesn’t disqualify one from being President. Two candidates have run for President while in prison.
The policeman shown cleaning his hands with hand-sanitizer from the wall dispenser during the midst of all this carnage was reprehensibly pathetic.

Won’t matter unless 66% of voters also decide to remove the congress critters who enabled him.

Yeah, what the poll doesn’t show is that 50% would vote for Trump again, even after this.
Trump hasn’t pulled 50% of the vote in either of his two prior election cycles.

This needs to be framed as a consequence of the war in Ukraine, which it is, and a hardship to be borne by actual patriots (as opposed to blustering flag-wavers) trying to rein in unacceptable Russian behavior, which it is. If the Democrats continue to allow this issue (and inflation, too, which is largely a consequence of supply chain and production issues that are themselves due to global, not just domestic, Covid issues) to be framed simply as foolish economic policy, they’re even worse at messaging than I imagined. And I already imagined that they’re pretty bad.
Except it’s been framed as “Biden killed Keystone, and now you can’t feed your family!!!” And the yahoos, who are ignorant of most macroeconomics, let alone of how commodities work, eat it up. People don’t want to understand the reasoning behind a hardship, they only want somone to blame. It’s easier.

You’re exactly right, and that’s why it’s time to start hammering with the real story. Stop staying on the ropes and taking punches. Start throwing some. Make this a consequence of the Trump/Republican cabal not doing something about Russia when they could have. Had Trump not played games with the Ukraine aid package, maybe Putin would have thought twice about what he’s doing.
It’s come down every day for the last 29 days.
But, but, but…it triples overnight, and only comes down $0.001/week.
I saw regular unleaded at $4.19/gallon in the Shell at I-10 and Dairy Ashford. People will see it coming down and, more importantly, will feel it in their wallets.
I paid $3.89/gallon on Saturday. Down the street it was still $4.59. That’s a 70 cent/gallon, or about $14/fill up, difference between two stations you can see from one another. But yeah, it’s coming down, just as quickly as it went up. Only nobody complains about it coming down.
…and it doesn’t lead the news every night either.
We will die waiting for those who blamed Biden for it going up to give him credit for it coming down.
What hopefully happens, though, is that gas prices and inflation more broadly have settled down by October, so that it takes that stick out of the hands of the QOP.
