Inevitable You-Know-Who Thread

…and you know absolutely that they’re going to uphold this batshit “independent legislators theory”.

This is fun.

This is good.

Predictable sentiment from Musk: don’t hold the powerful accountable, just let bygones be bygones.

Also, I think he realized that, in the Venn diagram of Trump’s base and Tesla’s customers, there is no overlap and, in fact, the gap is wide enough to drive a Cybertruck through (if such a thing existed).

Fox News is so fucked.

The sitting US AG at the time will be deposed by Dominion and will say that the claims Fox News was promoting were “bullshit” and “nonsense”. How could he not? We’ve all seen him say these things under oath already.

I hope Dominion goes full Gawker and puts them out of business.

Someone’s not bothered about today’s J6 hearing.

I would’ve posted this earlier, but I was busy rolling on the floor laughing.

A fool and his money…

Teasers for today’s hearing include:

  • A look inside the “batshit” December 18 White House meeting involving all the clown car occupants, including Giuliani, Powell and Flynn
  • Video clips from Patsy Baloney’s deposition
  • Direct testimony from an Oath Keeper
  • Encrypted messages between militia groups

Today’s the day, supposedly, that they put the planning of the violence on J6 right inside the Oval Office.:popcorn::popcorn:

J6 committee delivering once again.

Next up, a witness with face tattoos.

Liz Cheney is a human end credits scene.

I assume witness tampering is a felony. It would be nice if he was stupid enough to leave an incriminating voicemail that could get him indicted and convicted on a clear-cut, non-partisan matter. And then he’d be unable to hold the office he covets, and we could turn our attention to the DeSantises, Abbotts, and Cruzes of the world.

I don’t think all criminal convictions prevent him from running. However, I’m pretty sure that a sedition conviction does.

I assumed that was the huge well spoken proud boy defector.

Yep. The two witnesses were sad today. Especially Ayers, who seemed to be simply one of the “poorly educated” that Trump professed to love but who got run over by the flabby orange train of Trump’s demented ego.

You would think that the fact that he is still openly criming on a day-to-day basis would light a fire under the DOJ.

In many ways, this committee has an audience of one: Merrick Garland. There were disturbing reports following last week’s hearing that Cassidy Hutchinson’s testimony was news to the DOJ, which begs the question: WTF have they been doing for the last 18 months?

This, on top of the panicked demand from the DOJ for all the J6 committee’s materials means that Garland’s seeming plan to slow walk this and let it blow over has been blown up, and now he’s going to have to cowboy up and do his job. We have to hope he does, because there’s no way Biden can replace him with someone else who then goes full bore for Trump because that looks totally political.

Other nuggets from today (from memory):

  • The Oath Keepers wanted to use J6 to spark a new civil war.
  • Trump conspired with “Stop the Steal” rally organizers to hide the plan to march on the Capitol from his own staff. It was deliberately left out of his Ellipse speech, but organizers were tweeting each other how Trump was going to announce it “unexpectedly”. This leans in to the post-speech carjacking attempt.
  • Trump wanted to put in a zinger in about Pence in the speech, but it was taken out as being too inflammatory. Then, after the “pussy” phone call with Pence that morning, Trump put it back in. He ad libbed a number of additional swipes at Pence during his speech.
  • Brad Pascale shit himself when he heard what Trump was saying
  • The Dec 18 batshit summit at the White House went on for over 6 hours. Powell and Giuliani showed up without an appointment and no one can figure out how the Overstock CEO got in there. Basically, Trump’s potty trained lawyers had a screaming and swearing contest with his monkey shit fight lawyers. Guess who won? At 1:30am that same night, Trump couldn’t hold his excitement and sent the “will be wild” tweet.
  • Trump told Patsy Baloney that “they” - the shit-flinging monkeys - were bringing him solutions.
  • The witnesses were basically two poor schmucks who have had their lives turned upside down as a result of getting caught up in all this shit. The ex-Oath Keeper explained how Stewart Rhodes wants to do to the country what he did to his own eyeball, and will hop on any bandwagon he thinks will help him get that done.
  • Sgt Gonell is having to quit police work as a result of the injuries he sustained on J6.
  • Liz Cheney summed up saying how they have tied Trump directly to all the crimes here, both state and federal. Next week will see more Cipollone video and a “minute-by-minute” detailing of Trump’s actions and inactions on January 6th itself.
  • Cheney’s post-credit scene this week was that Trump personally called one of the witnesses, and that fact has now been relayed to the DOJ.

It’s one thing to know it, it’s another thing to see it. There were 7 cops in the hallway immediately after the initial barrage in the classrooms. The shooter popped off a few rounds at them, and they backed off for over an hour - even after hearing more shots being fired in the room.

Arredondo is only part of the story here. Those 7 first responders were required to enter the classroom regardless of their numbers, protective gear and weapons. They didn’t. Even when the corridor was full of men, guns and equipment, they still didn’t go in.

Unfathomable. After the initial retreat, you regroup and you fucking go in.

And WTF is up with the Uvalde DA, trying to suppress the video because of an ongoing investigation? Into what? The shooter is dead, case closed.
