Kemp’s in trouble.

It’s hard to imagine anyone voting for Warnock and not also voting for Abrams.

You can get +125 on Warnock and 9/2 on Abrams.

You can also get 9/2 on Beto and +450 on Democrat Senate majority.

Time to get your money down and cash in big in November.

Now he gets to ignore it and become a hero in Trumpistan.

Probably. He’s in the barrel though, after Tuesday, so we’ll see what happens. Apparently, he has almost zero claim of executive privilege because, as WH Counsel, he’s the people’s embedded cop. Plus, the current executive has waived privilege anyway.

This is different to Meadows, as COS, because he was clearly Trump’s counsel, so there is precedent for limited privilege to remain with Trump even after he’s out of office. That’s probably what has kept the DOJ from pursuing the contempt charge.

Shocking / not shocking.

Basically, this.

Well this is all pretty horrific.

  • Rivas-Villegas – SCOTUS reversed the lower court to give a cop qualified immunity for using excessive force
  • Tahlequah v. Bond – SCOTUS reversed the lower court to give a cop qualified immunity for killing a man
  • Shoop v. Twyford – SCOTUS made it harder to get habeas relief
  • Zubaydah – SCOTUS allowed the Govt to withhold information about torture on CIA black sites
  • Vaello-Madero – SCOTUS denied SS benefits to residents of Puerto Rico
  • Cummings – SCOTUS disallowed recovery for emotional-distress damages in civil rights lawsuits
  • Patel – SCOTUS stripped federal courts of jurisdiction to review fact issues in immigration proceedings
  • FEC v. Ted Cruz – SCOTUS struck down campaign finance restrictions to enable Ted Cruz to pay himself back for loans he made to his own campaign
  • Egbert v. Boule – SCOTUS further limited a person’s ability to sue federal officers (Bivens actions)
  • Vega v. Tekah – SCOTUS weakened enforcement of Miranda rights
  • Carson v. Makin – SCOTUS undermined the Establishment Clause, forcing states to fund private religious schools
  • Denezpi – SCOTUS recognized tribal sovereignty just enough to allow a Native American defendant to be prosecuted twice for the same crime (no double jeopardy), then…
  • Castro-Huerta – SCOTUS undermined tribal sovereignty by making tribal land “part of state” and allowing state to exercise jurisdiction on tribal land

But her emails!

I am so proud of this Supreme Court. My great-grandfather’s first cousin, James Clark McReynolds, has long been considered the worst justice to ever sit on the Court. Now I can finally hold my head up. He was nothing compared to this group of yahoos.

Unarmed black man, traffic stop. We know the story all too well by now.

Sadly, the only thing getting better is the cops’ aim.

How bad was it? I have sympathy for a Cheney.

And then Wyoming asked Arizona to hold its beer.

Hooray for the red, white and blue…

This lady was about an inch away from having her head blown off.

Shooter was a radicalized, young, white man with an AR-style rifle the was acquired legally. It was a parade, so no doors and the parade route was lined with armored and armed police. I am morbidly curious to see how the blame gets deflected away from the assault rifle this time.

Good guys with guns are getting their asses kicked lately.

And right on cue, he was very politely arrested in Chicago this morning.
