I also saw that Abbottās polling has been climbing recently.
My understanding is they refused to certify any of the election results, thought itās a thoroughly GOP controlled commission and county. The state has now sued them for failing to follow election law.

This was for a newly gerrymandered district, where the incumbent resigned, and the likely Democrat nominee did not run in the special election because heās representing another district. Heāll run in the general election against her, and Biden won whatās to be that new district by a huge margin, but yeah, heās now facing an incumbent, and itās not good news overall.

The newly created district will be even more historically Democrat than before. This district is designed to concentrate Democrats to keep them from being competitive in nearby districts, thereby solidifying the Republican disproprotionate advantage overall.
