Inevitable You-Know-Who Thread

These people are insane.

So they’re refusing to certify the result of a Republican primary?

The state needs to issue a writ of man…dumbass!

Rep. Loudermilk has some ā€˜splainin’ to do.

Here’s a Jan 6 Committee video mash-up of one of Loudermilk’s tour goers, threatening multiple Democratic figures on Jan 6, including Pelosi and AOC (whose head he threatened to shave), along with CCTV footage of him taking photos while on the tour the day before.

Also: ā€œwe’re coming in like white on riceā€? WTF?

Because of Dominion voting machines. What’s the status of their lawsuit(s)?

They’ve just increased by 1.

Don’t hear that phrase too often anymore, but:

In depressing news, a QAnon type Republican beat a Democrat in a Congressional special election in the Rio Grande Valley. I’m starting to wonder if Texas is like Florida: not turning blue or purple, but actually getting redder.

I also saw that Abbott’s polling has been climbing recently.

My understanding is they refused to certify any of the election results, thought it’s a thoroughly GOP controlled commission and county. The state has now sued them for failing to follow election law.

This was for a newly gerrymandered district, where the incumbent resigned, and the likely Democrat nominee did not run in the special election because he’s representing another district. He’ll run in the general election against her, and Biden won what’s to be that new district by a huge margin, but yeah, he’s now facing an incumbent, and it’s not good news overall.

of course it’s climbing…kids are getting shot and gas prices are climbing. It’s a win/win for him.

Oh no, I understand the ā€œwhite on riceā€ part. It’s the ā€œwe’re coming in likeā€¦ā€ part that makes no sense.

The appropriate use of literary devices is not a hallmark of the wingnuts or their dear leader.

Have you seen the district?

Designed by computer to return a Republican. How do I know? Because districts designed to concentrate Democrats don’t stretch halfway across the state while skipping entire cities.

My dumbass congressman who is now gerrymandered into a district that will elect him as long as he cares to run has decided that the biggest concern for his Fort Bend and Wharton county constituents is……a no fly zone over Disney. https://www.houstonchronicle.com/politics/texas/amp/Texas-Rep-Troy-Nehls-files-bill-to-strip-no-fly-17240961.php

Meanwhile, the committee is on it.

The newly created district will be even more historically Democrat than before. This district is designed to concentrate Democrats to keep them from being competitive in nearby districts, thereby solidifying the Republican disproprotionate advantage overall.

It’s the ā€œpackingā€ part of the ā€œpacking and crackingā€ strategy.

Exactly. I expect that seat will go blue again in November, but it means that another, possibly more than one, will flip red.

The new seat in Houston is dead red.
