Fucking windmills.
It’s too bad President Trump has left the state. If he were still here we’d have an alternative supply of natural gas.
I’ve really enjoyed my shift from the DC area to Vermont. The people are chill, friendly, excepting and could care less about things like social status and wealth. Pretty much the anti-DC kind of mindset. It is still a surreal shock when I leave my desk a block and a half west of the White House, hop on a plane and then I am having dinner with my wife eating something delicious and drinking a craft beer on my way home to my place in Vermont an hour and a half later. I love it.
I’ll give you a very real world example: if I am anywhere in New England and have any type of Astros gear on, the derision I get is real and palpable. Here in Vermont, the Red Sox fans (or Nationals fans with long-standing allegiance to the Montreal Expos) will politely ask “are you an Astros fan? What really went on there?“. And, they actually want to talk about it.
Funny thing, when i was in Boston in September I was wearing Astros shirts daily. The only encounter was with someone that likes the Astros. Go figure.
Crazy. I’ve only gotten shit from one of my Red Sawx buddies. He refuses to believe they did anything wrong - and even if they did bend the rules (twice), it was nothing even remotely close to as egregious as what the Astros did.
Sorry, I probably should’ve been more clear. I actually like Vermonters. A college teammate was from Montpellier and one of nicest, most genuine people I’ve ever met. When he was killed in Afghanistan it sent a shock through all of us. Really, my comment was more about the kids I knew from the rest of NE (mostly, New Hampshire and Massachusetts). A lot of them loved to bag on Vermont.
-
Someone from New Hampshire bagging on someone from Vermont. That’s rich. That’s like someone from West Virginia bagging on someone from Maryland.
-
Someone from Mass bagging on someone from Vermont. That’s priceless. That’s like someone from New York bagging on someone from Delaware.
Incoming TX heat. I see Abbott is struggling to keep the lights on in Texas again.
But, hey, we got those abortions stopped, so there’s that. And the books about the perverts. Don’t forget about the books.
The Texas Power Grid is entirely free of critical race theory.
All the wind power is freezing again.
Abbott should never have listened to AOC and gone all- in on the Green New Deal.
No Blacks, just blackouts.
Abbott appears to be reaping the whirlwind sown by his predecessors.
You know it’s all Biden’s fault.
They’ll say that, and their rubes will believe it.
Sounds like a good ol fashioned water main break, they had trouble isolating it so they had to shut down the water plant. I don’t know enough to place blame on anything but aging infrastructure at this point.
How it started:
Where it stands now:
Biden said he’d build it back better, and he didn’t. Fucker.
Thanks, Obama.
Oh I’m sure that’s what it is. But that’s what happens when the powers that be don’t update anything.
