As ignorant as Trump is, as terrible as he is at spelling and grammar on Twitter, he is to-the-letter perfect when it comes to racism.
I in no way believe that Trump knows enough history to be aware of the significance of either Juneteenth or Tulsa.
But you can bet your ass Stephen Miller knows.
Kamala Harris on Twitter today:
This isn’t just a wink to white supremacists—he’s throwing them a welcome home party.
That’s good VP audition material
Kamala Harris is the real deal. Smart as a whip and tough as nails. She catches some flak from some for her work as DA and California Attorney General, but what I see is competence. Don’t be a criminal in Harris’ jurisdiction was my takeaway from her time as AG.
One of the best reasons for Biden to pick her as his running mate is that she would make a kick-ass president.
I like Harris and hope she is chosen but she has a past that will be dredged up. Mostly regarding cases she handled as a prosecutor in SF.
I’ve said several times that I’d prefer her not to be the choice and I’ve explained why, but the Trump people are going to smear any running mate as a dangerous socialist lunatic, so one thing I would not concern myself with is potential attacks from the opposition.
They’ve already painted Biden simultaneously as a segregationist and a socialist, and who knows where they’ll take it from here. If the 13 year old Trump raped emerges to accuse him again, Biden will suddenly become a pedophile. You know, it all depends.
DWARD has already gone down that path.
Lots of buzz around the fact that Biden has made his choice, and his choice is Harris. I think this is a good choice on the merits (any number of the short-listed candidates checked this box), she isn’t needed to secure the win in her home state, she does not cost the Democrats a seat in the Senate, she is of an age that succession is not a concern, and she will drive Trump even more fucking crazy than he is already.
Also, Pence will blow a gasket having to be in a debate with a woman, moreover a woman of color. Mother will tighten the testicle clamps on him super-hard that night as punishment.
You mean has been lead down that path, by the nose.
No he went willingly.
It’s wild to me that Stacy Abrams was apparently never seriously considered. She said the other day in an interview that she had repeated multiple times that she would be willing to answer the call but she was never approached for vetting.
I really like Abrams, and I too am surprised that she was not even approached for vetting. She would be a helluva asset on the campaign trail and I suspect a successful VP and then P after that. However, while she has experience in GA’s congress, her lack of executive experience was going to be a knock against her, and maybe that’s why Biden’s campaign didn’t have her on the list.
I heard an interview with her this week, talking about the shitshow that Republicans are going to try and have happen in November. She said that her Fair Fight team was watching what was going on in the various primaries, and all be ready to combat that same crap in November. Maybe that’s a better place for her now and she can look to loftier goals down the road (she’s only 46).
I love Abrams and would put her in charge of anything you could put her in charge of, right now. But most of the idiots out there don’t know who the hell she is, and to win this thing, you have to appeal to the idiots. The non idiots are already in the bag, so you need to find someone that people have heard of. I mean, that’s how we ended up with fucking Biden in the first place.
U FOO!
U FOO!
“Fucking Biden” can beat Trump, and he will not drive people away by being too far left. Warren? I like her, but she came in third in her home state’s primary! The Democrats need electable, and Biden is. All of the strident or far left folks have gotten in line, and the party may be united. If he and his advisors are smart, and if he does a good job picking his running mate, we will steamroll Trump in November.
I think that will have a huge effect on votes for Biden. If he picks someone strong, he could certainly win it.
Pitching is an important part of baseball. If the Astros get a strong start today, they might have a shot to win.
