The opening expository montage of Eastbound and Down was absolutely brilliant. Sadly, the show started a steady decline immediately thereafter.
Joel Coen’s adaptation of Macbeth on Apple TV+ is excellent.
I know only too well how challenging Shakespeare can be, but here - as with all good renditions of the Bard - the performances and direction inform the plot and allow you to enjoy the language without having to struggle to understand the actual words. You feel it, rather than comprehend it.
If you’ve ever had a inkling to get into Shakespeare, this is a relatively easy on ramp, which is quite a feat given the choice of play.

I was watching a Bourdain thing the other day when he was in Minneapolis for some reason and the chef he was talking to said Yaahyubetcha and I damn near fell out of my chair I was laughing so hard.

Yes, her character was. She is not dubbed in any movie I’m aware of. Including Fargo, and Macbeth.
I saw Drive My Car this afternoon. Good movie, not sure I’d tell everyone to rush to see it. Every bit of three hours long.
