Dude…spoiler alert!
FIFY
Of course that’s only the movie. The book has a lot more plot.
For sure. As does the whole series. We’re a couple books away from New Willy Wonka’s son having ruled the universe for 3500 years.
I don’t understand the reference and I won’t respond to it.
Well, you did respond to it, actually. In GOD EMPEROR OF DUNE, Paul Atriedes’s son, Leto II, becomes Emperor and rules for 3500 years. Timothee Chalamet, who plays Paul Atriedes in the new film, is also starring in the the new Willy Wonka movie.
I eagerly await your next non-repsonse response.
Doesn’t anyone recognize an Arrested Development callback any more?
3500 years will make for a long meeting movie.
There’s always money in the Spice Stand?
How can I recognize a callback when I’m dressed in this $6,300 suit?! Come on!
I mean it’s one callback, Michael. What could it cost?

Bees?
Has anyone here ever even seen a sand worm before?

Gob’s not on board.
I don’t care for Gob.

You may be the only person I’ve ever known who’s read more than the original book. I’f tried to read Dune Messiah, and with all the good will in the world I can’t. And I can be entertained by just about anything.
Do we really need another new Willy Wonka?
Of course not.
Remakes should only be done when the original can clearly be improved upon (Ocean’s 11)
Reboots should only be done when there is something new to say about the material (Battlestar Galactica)
Sequels should only be done when there is clearly more story to tell (Godfather 2)
Anything else is IP spam.
I’m still wondering why we needed the first one.
