General Movie Thread

It was the Capital Centre, not Center, which I always found more than a touch pretentious, rich coming from me, I know. What it provokes in my mind are memories of unbelievable odysseys trying to get to and from basketball games.

It’s only OK if there’s a ā€œYe Oldeā€ in front of it, like shoppe.

He who remains…in jail.

Saw Poor Things. Combination horror/fantasy/fairytale/porno. Absolutely most nudity and sex I’ve seen in a movie in my whole life. It’s not all sex, but it’s a LOT of sex. Emma Stone and Mark Ruffalo were amazing. Not for everyone. Recommended but know what you’re in for.

Shut up and take my money

Emma Stone, no thank you. Emma Stone looking like a reconstituted corpse, no thank you very much. I’m sure she’s a fine actor, though.

I wouldn’t go that far, and at closing time I guess she’d do. But yeah, I’m kinda with you. Soft pass on Emma Stone.

I know who i want to take me home

I have a weakness for redheads.

Not to burst your bubble or anything, but Emma Stone is not a natural redhead. In this movie or in real life.

(And I haven’t stopped thinking about this movie over a week later.)

An unnatural redhead? Hard pass.

She and Amy Adams…same. Hmmm…Emma Stone and Amy Adams…

FTR, I don’t know what prompted it, but Stone’s dramatic weight loss from healthy looking human to shrink-wrapped skeleton was such a shame.

I like a little curvature. I’ll take a Christina Hendricks over an Emma Stone every time. But I do love redheads.

A ā€œlittle curvatureā€?

Christina Hendricks is manipulation of the space-time continuum.

I expect that Cabrera has already reported in this, but The Boys in the Boat is great.

Her turn in Firefly left more than a few crew members in their bunks.

It is!
