Tucker has a good arm. I agree with the rest.
I donāt think Tucker has a bad arm. It just isnāt a great arm. When I think of RF, I think of a guy out there with a cannon.
I think the top OF prospects in the system grade out as having better arms and would move him if one or more develop.
Thatās a big IF, I acknowledge.
If your basic requirement for RF is a cannon, we may be playing games with only 8 players.
And sometimes he even hits his target!
I understand and maybe I am being unreasonable.
My eyes just tell me other RF throw better.
Maybe is just the grass being greener. . .
I wonder if Fiers tipped the authorities to trigger the test? Probably not but you know how much he hates cheating.
Mayfield brings the Halos back against David Price & the DODGERS last nightā¦

Statcast disagrees. Statcast doesnāt have fondness for players. It says that Tucker is a better outfielder than Reddick. Tucker has 3 outs above average where Reddick has -1. Tucker has a 91% success rate and Reddickās is at 85%. Based on statcastsā calculations, Tucker is the 5th best RF in the MLB. Reddick is down at 27. When you open it up to all outfielders, Tucker is 30th. Reddick is 79th. Brantley is 74th of all outfielders.
BTW, Chas is 13th among all outfielders with a 6 outs above average. Oh and to make this fit the thread title, Bret Phillips is 4th overall with 8 outs above average and Straw is 5th with 7 OAA.
I could care less if they bring Reddick back but Tucker is absolutely not a better fielder. Hopefully our main guys stay healthy and hopefully Meyers does well in a 4th outfielder role.
Hahahaha.
Give up. He thinks Tucker has Alzheimers.
Did you even look at the information I linked to? Or are you just doubling down on your bias?
Reddickās range that was tracked by high tech cameras was average at best.
Tuckerās range on balls hit to his right is one of the greatest in the league. He is above average at coming in on balls. He struggles going to his left.
Doubling down.
Iāve never really delved into statcast, but thatās some fascinating stuff, IMO. Always felt certain fielders had much better range one way or the other, but I guess thereās data to test those beliefs.
No I could care less about statcast. Iām not doubling down on anything either. Tucker isnāt a very good fielder. He misses his cutoff man way too much. Heās a little awkward out there. Does stat cast count home run assists? Having said that I like Tucker and am glad we didnāt give up on him like some of you wanted us to. If we want to talk doubling down, thereās tons of subject matter there. Heās just not on this team for his fielding talents. Iām very glad heās an Astro though.
Such bs.
You never have been exactly high on Kyle Tucker.
You have not read many of my posts apparently. Beginning last year, I have said consistently Tucker has improved to a serviceable major leaguer. I have commented on his obvious improvement many times this year. I have complimented his arm and his range. He has become an important run producer. Yes, he is awkward, but he has become a decent fielder, and your constant, stubborn comments about Reddickās being better today are laughable and call into question any opinion you state from here on. Duman showed you up badly, and you do not even realize it. Sounds like your blind MAGA bullshit all over again.
Your redundant repeating your derision about Tuckerās one embarrassing play is lame. You have embarrassed yourself in this thread. Stop posting on this, and go on to something else. Save whatever reputation you think you still have.
The last 48 hours of posts show that this is a lie.
