Ex Astros 2025

He’ll be 36 in a few days. I had the same reaction. That he’s older than Jose Altuve just didn’t register with me.

Yeah, he’s had a real renaissance this year.

While never an official MLB Astro, former 2022 1st rounder Drew Gilbert who went to the Mets in the Verlander trade has made his MLB debut this year for the Giants. The Giants got him from the Mets in the trade for Tyler Rodgers. He is still doing the crazy, over the top rah rah stuff he was doing at Tennessee that made me really enjoy watching his team lose. He may be a good player but I am glad he is not on the Astros.

Tucker hasn’t played since 9/2 and is going to Florida to seek a second opinion on a calf strain because progress has plateaued.

Well, here again…another example of a “can’t miss deal” potentially going south for the team that signed said player. There are of course some that have worked out but had the Astros signed him to a long term deal prior to last season, they’d already be on the losing end of it. I hate seeing players leave but the business model Crane has employed in recent years should by and large be looked at positively. Springer, Correa, Cole…I don’t think any have went well for the acquiring teams. To be fair…the short term FA deals (Abreu & Walker) haven’t either but at least the exposure is limited.

I know. I was just trying to be funny. Even though I am historically quite unfunny.

I was just saying it’s not a new thing, you’re not wrong, though

Yeah both of those items are available throughout the land including college campuses.

Never saw any in Austin

That’s because they were consumed faster than you could see them.

I had nothing to do with that

This made me laugh out loud.

Never saw them either. Felt them, all the time.
