Toro will probably get regular ABs in Worcester before any shot at the majors.
He’s played 75 games with 276 PA in Boston and is a fairly regular starter at 1b.

He did just likely lose his job with the club’s signing of Lowe.
I don’t see much of a difference between Lowe and Toro until looking at splits. (I tried to post them but didn’t do it right and don’t have time to fight with it right now).

Kyle Tucker was always a streaky hitter. He isn’t doing himself any favors on a new contract. He probably should have took one that I’m sure the Astros offered.
By all accounts he should easily get multiple offers for $40+ million per season.

If anybody with a team thinks the last 15 days alters what they are offering in the offseason, they should probably be fired. Even with his recent struggles, he’s got a 139 OPS+ and over 4 WAR this season

He’s been struggling a lot longer than 15 days. Since June 1 he is hitting .255 with 6 home runs.
Every year he has two-month period where he disappears. Buyers are going to hope that they’re the smart guys who will figure it out, but I’m skeptical.

Exactly right. He has always had periods of time where he simply couldn’t hit. The ‘23 playoffs come to mind for me.
And September of that year.
He was 3 steps below a funk.

JV threw 5 shutout innings today, only took him 121 pitches
I keep hearing people say that he “turned the clock back” and that it was “vintage JV.” Vintage JV might have struck out 10 and threw 120 pitches but he also would have thrown 7+ innings and he wouldn’t have had 4 walks. I’m certainly rooting for him to do well. It just appears that his stuff isn’t the same as it used to be, as we clearly witnessed the last couple of years. But he’s 42 and that’s to be expected.

He got the W and that’s what he’s chasing. Long way to 300. I don’t know that he’s got enough in the tank to do it but if anyone can persevere and get there it’s JV. I’ll be rooting for him.
