Bregman played 114 games, hit .273 with 18 HR and 62 rbi.
He had 28 doubles and 51 walks. In 2024 he had 30 and 44 in 145 games.
He’s now 31.
Once again, the Astros probably got the best years from him at the best price.

Walker played 154, I think, and had 27, 24, and 88. He only hit .238, though.
Will be interesting to watch what they do with the seeming logjam of players who have some ability to produce.

Walker really suffered (here) from the lack of run production anywhere else. Looking at you, outfield.
I think he and Altuve were battling for the team HR lead.
If Altuve is your #2 HR guy you’ve got issues.
Walker managed to stay healthy this year, which is quite an accomplishment with this bunch.
Except for 2023, he was not far off of his usual year. You are 100% correct: he needed other run producers to produce too.

Unless Paredes can adapt to 2b someone’s getting traded. And it won’t be Altuve or Correa.
I’m not making excuses for Walker but I’m sure there is some adjustment to switching teams and going from the NL to AL. He did hit somewhat better later in the season.

The striking differential for Walker was his home/away splits:
Away: .265/.311/.482 with 19 HRs and 54 RBI
Home: .202/.279/.342 with 8 HRs and 34 RBI
He also struck out at a much higher clip at home. You’d be tempted to say well, most of the team was worse at home, and the lack of RBI is a product of that. Except that’s not exactly the case. Team OBP was actually slightly higher at home, and believe it or not, they scored more runs per plate appearance at home than on the road. Walker’s inability to drive in runs at home was a big factor.

I really don’t see a logjam.
Lets say Altuve, Yordan, Walker, Paredes, and Correa are 100% healthy all season ( lol) but only 4 of them play in any one game.
Thats 130 games each.
Of course 1, 2 or even possibly all of them will miss some time wirh injury
