Ex Astros 2025

I lament every trip to Pluckers. Though the five free wings coupons when the Astros strike out 10 batters slightly eases the pain.

Loperfido replaces Santander on the Jays ALCS roster

What’s Santander’s injury? Or is it an “injury”?

Manager John Schneider told reporters yesterday that Santander was dealing with “back stiffness” . His season is over. He’s played like a stiff since he came back from a shoulder injury in September.

Congratulations to him on a long career and much gratitude for his time as an Astro.

He was a terrific Astro. All the best to him.

Not to go all fan-casting but I would note the Astros just opened up their catching coach position.

He would be a welcome addition to the coaching staff, I’m sure

I have the Martin Maldonado replica 2022 WS ring thanks to a Space Cowboys giveaway.

At the very least, since he may want to take some time off, I’d love to see him in ST as a guest coach

He might but my impression of Martin is that he won’t want to

Hasn’t he expressed interest in coaching or managing previously? Maybe I just imagined it.

I’m pretty sure he has stated before that he wants to be a manager

Troy Snitker lands on his feet. Hired by Mets as their new hitting coach.

Brad Mills retired. He’d spent his post-Astros career as bench coach wherever Francona went (not unlike his pre-Astros career). He got handed a dreadful roster in Houston and quickly found himself under new management that was never going to keep him, but he always seemed to handle himself with class.

Let’s also not forget that Mills was Nolan Ryan’s all-time strikeout record breaking victim.

Orioles claim Pedro Leon.

Chas cleared waivers and elected free agency.
