Electric Vehicles

I remember, years and years ago on AC, there was a poster who worked for one and would go to great lengths to explain how they are necessary and beneficial to consumers.

Kara worked in sales for a relatively small brewery (at the time) back in Maryland before she moved out to California. She has some stories…

Really, the entire alcohol distribution model in this country can be summed up in one word: fucking ridiculous.

That said, I’ve heard soda distributors make their alchol(ic) cousins look like rank amateurs.

It’s literally just a money grab and has been for the last 100ish years.

And, at least in Texas, they’ve got a huge, expensive lobbying team to make sure they don’t go anywhere.

Maybe the Department of Waste will tackle this.

Hahahaha.

If it’s any consolation, outside of the District of Columbia that’s the situation in just about every state. And every time there’s a bill in Congress attempting to address this, guess who ensures said bills never get passed?

@austro that would probably be the most practical thing those two clowns ever do with their lives.

They’re calling it the Department of Government Efficiency - or “DOGE” - because we live on the dumbest timeline.

Without the beer distributors, there would be a significant lack of funding for lobbyists in Texas.

The ID.Buzz, ladies and gents.

This lady is definitely nuts. But she’s also a former Air Force technician and does things like shoehorn a Tundra V8 engine into a 1970s Celica sedan, so she knows her technical shit.

A 2 door car is not a sedan.

And before you ask a saloon is a place to get drunk and have an old timey piano suddenly stop when a rough looking character walks in.

Gonna need to know her Satisfactory playing habits before I can make that judgment.

I have often imagined that they are Satisfactory. She exists right on the crazy/hot nexus.

They’re real and they’re satisfactory?

What is her accent? At times she sounds almost American, then she’ll talk about “aluminium”, then she’ll put the emphasis on the wrong syllable (mo-TOR, but-TON), and sometimes she’ll do that British “t” thing.

You know she’s a dude, right?

The internet claims she was. I don’t care one way or the other and stand by what I said.

Can’t you see she’s saying al-you-min-ee-um sarcastically?

I don’t care one way or another either, but even if post-op, it moves her on the hotness scale for me, partly because they’re not real.

After pulling the plug on my R1S reservation, I decided to put in a reservation for the Scout Traveler SUV today.
I had a ‘78 Scout II when I first got my license in ‘89, it was an absolute beast of a vehicle and was a blast to drive.
This new iteration looks fun.
